Power of the brain
The
brain has unlimited power, It is one of the most complex structures and
can process much more information than supercomputers.

Who has more processing power ? |

Q. |
Does your brain outpower a computer? |
A. |
The
brain consists of something on the order of 200,000,000,000 neurons,
each interfaced with up to a thousand others. When you start working
out how many data points that can entail, you'll realize that the most
complex artificial computer imaginable can't come close to replicating
our thought processes. As a simple answer to your question, you thought
to ask the question; a computer wouldn't because it can't think.

Anatomy of the brain
Just like we have 2 hands, 2 legs, 2 eyes, 2 ears, Our brain has 2 hemispheres, the left brain and right brain.
Each
side of the brain processes information completely differently. If only
one side of the brain were working , depending on which side was
active, we would see completely different actions.
The left brain is the more logical part, it is detail oriented, uses facts , used for math and science,
however the right brain is the more creative part. It is one that
controls imagination, visualization, it is “big picture” oriented,
Examples :
1. Linear vs holistic approach
2. Inside out vs Outside in
3. Drawing a map vs giving directions
4. Having a vision vs putting it in action
Importance of the Right Side.
The right side is the more imaginative , creative, It is the side
incharge of visualization. It is the side that deals with pictures.
Facts are Facts, everyone knows and learns facts.. which is very
important, what we do with the facts is what makes us different.
There are 1000’s of cellphones , but what gave the iphone success, it
was the extra creativity, the touch and feel concept.
Everyone has come across different difficult situations, a lot of time
the situations demand thinking outside the box. This thinking outside
the box is controlled by the right side of the brain.
Research shows
From http://www.viewzone.com/bicam.html
Experiments show that most children rank highly creative (right brain)
before entering school. Because our educational systems place a higher
value on left brain skills such as mathematics, logic and language than
it does on drawing or using our imagination, only ten percent of these
same children will rank highly creative by age 7. By the time we are
adults, high creativity remains in only 2 percent of the population.
At CLC, we focus on developing the right side of the brain by
having various exercise where the child is made to visualize and
picture beads, He is taught how to process the beads and imagine the
Abacus. It is this that trains the brain to use more of the right side,
To build a photographic memory.
Coordination of both sides
Both
sides of the brain are equally important, just like we use both our
hands for different functions.. Even though some of us might be left
handed and rest right handed, the coordination of both hands produces
best results eg. We need to use both hands in in typing on the computer
or playing the piano.. similarly the coordination of BOTH sides of the
brain is important.
Ideally, both brains work together in people with optimum mental ability.
The coordinating ability of both sides is the key to superior intellectual abilities.
The
Right side will enable us to have a mission /vision.. and the left side
will provide us with the necessary tools to achieve it. The better the
two sides work together the more the success will be achieved.
Each
side of our body is controlled by the opposite side of the brain. AT
CLC, The constant translation of numbers to beads and Working
with Abacus demands concentration and coordinated interaction of both
eyes, both hands and thus both sides the brain promoting the
development of both sides. Providing complete brain development.
